Jon started his career as an avionics apprentice with the Ministry of Defence and has progressed to Chief Engineer for the Heavy Military Aircraft and Ageing Aircraft Team, within QinetiQ Air and Space. He has experience in the design and commissioning of Flight Test Instrumentation systems, flying as a Flight Test Conductor on both fixed and rotary wing aircraft, managed various aircraft trials activities and has acted as Project Engineer on Nimrod MRA4, A400M and A330 Tanker programmes providing support to UK MOD.
He has supported to the Ageing Aircraft programmes for various UK Military aircraft from the Spitfires, Hurricanes and Lancaster of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight to the Typhoon jet fighter and Merlin Helicopter.
Jon is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.
