Darren Grinter

Darren has 28 years’ experience within military aircraft Test and Evaluation. Starting his career with the UK Ministry of Defence, gaining qualifications and attending various career development opportunities, he is now registered with the Engineering Council of the United Kingdom and is a Project Engineer, working for QinetiQ UK Ltd.
Darren’s background is in avionics and he has been part of and led teams in the T&E phases of a large number of platform assessments, across the Air Support, Combat Air and Rotary Wing domains. Since 2011 Darren has been the QinetiQ UK Project Engineer for C17 and Command Support as well as for Ageing Aircraft Programmes.
Darren is a member of the UK Systems Airworthiness Advisory Group and has provided support to the Ageing Aircraft Programmes Working Group and the Electrical Wiring Interconnect Systems Working Group. These Working Groups meet regularly and comprise of equipment manufacturers, Design Organisations, the UK MOD (MAA, DAT and DE&S PTs) and other stakeholders from the regulated community.
